Areas of Practice/Professional Experience

Defends complex medical malpractice and elder abuse litigation, including hospitals, physicians and related healthcare providers

Government Tort Litigation – represents hospital districts and other public institutions

Appellate expertise - has authored numerous Writs of Mandamus, Writs of Prohibition and Respondent’s Briefs, and has made multiple appearances before the Court of Appeal

Has recently second-chaired a jury trial, obtaining a defense verdict for a physician in a complex medical negligence case involving allegations of wrongful death

Prior experience includes serving as in-house counsel for the CIGNA/ACE Insurance Companies, litigating complex insurance coverage cases in the environmental context
